A Taste of Alsace – 1st February

On Thursday 1st February 2018, Bellanger will be hosting an Alsacienne food and wine discovery evening. With a Master of Wine joining us for the event, guests will discover some of our classic Alsacienne dishes over a four-course meal, as they are paired with a selection of wines from one of the most exceptional vineyards in the region.

Taking place in the Upper Room, the evening will be hosted by Mark Bingley MW, Fine Wine Director of MMD Ltd, who will talk guests through a selection of wines from Domaines Schlumberger, as they are paired with typical Alsacienne dishes.

Domaines Schlumberger was founded in 1810, with the family now owning the largest private vineyard in Alsace. Mark – a Master of Wine (one of only 369 in the world), has worked with their wines for over 30 years.

Throughout the evening, guests will enjoy a four-course menu highlighting traditional dishes from Alsace, including flambées, choucroute and a Gewürztraminer dessert, with Mark introducing the wines and giving a brief description of their characteristics, ahead of each course.

With tickets priced at just £45, we do hope you are able to join us for this light-hearted, informative evening championing the very best produce of this unique region of France.
